I am participating in On Yer Bike this February in memory of Steve Horton, my step-father, who died in December 2017 from a Glioblastoma, the most aggressive form of Brain Tumour. At present the only form of treatment for glioblastomas is surgery followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. These are largely ineffective in most cases, and only serve to prolong the life of the patient for a short while. I'm inspired by the work of Brain Tumour Research, who are looking into alternative treatments to improve the quality of life for those suffering from this terrible disease, and are ultimately searching for a cure. I wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in On Yer Bike, so I'm riding 300km on the road and on the turbo trainer throughout February. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Brain Tumour Research, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
